221. CHRONICLES OF THE ELDER LAMBANADĀYAKA
The prop (back) was offered by me to the Blessed One Atthadassī, such a worldly Chief, such a lord of mankind.
I govern the vast earth that includes the seas and I exercise leadership over the lives on earth.
My afflictions have been burned away, all beings have been erased, the three wisdoms have been accomplished, the Buddha's teaching has been practiced.
Sixty-two kalpas ago, these three slaying kings (with the same name) Ekāpassita were wheel-turning kings of great power.
Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberation, and six superior wisdom have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
The Venerable Ālambanadāyaka[19] spoke these verses thus.

222. CHRONICLES OF THE ELDER AJINADĀYAKA
Thirty-one lives ago, I was the master of crowds. I have seen the Buddha, the Immaculate, the recipient of offerings.
2380. The animal skin was offered by me to a relative of the Sikhī world. Because of this work of the Lord of men, the Most High of the world, the Man-Taurus, I have enjoyed accomplishment, I have burned away my afflictions. I maintain my last life in the Dharma of the Fully Enlightened One.
(Since) I have offered the goatskin thirty-one kalpas ago, I no longer know suffering; this is the fruit of the parchment.
Formerly in my fifth life, I was King Sudāyaka, a Wheel-turner, accomplished in the seven kinds of treasures, of great power.
Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberation, and six superior wisdom have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
The Venerable Thera Ajinadāyaka[20] spoke these verses thus.

223. CHRONICLES OF THE ELDER DVIRATANIYA
In the past, I was a wild animal hunter in the jungle. I have seen the Buddha, the Immaculate One, the recipient of offerings.
I offered to the Great Hermit Vipassī a slice of meat. I am established as the lord of the world including the gods.
Because of this offering of slices of meat, jewels were born to me. These two kinds of worldly treasures lead to the attainment of the present life.
I enjoy all these things through the power of the offering of meat slices. My body is soft, my mind has subtle perception.
(Since) I have offered a slice of meat ninety-one kalpas ago, I no longer know suffering; this is the fruit of offering a slice of meat.
Previously, in my fourth life, I was the sole ruler of the people. His name was Mahārohita, a Wheel-turning King of great power.
Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberation, and six superior wisdom have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
Venerable Venerable Dvirataniya[21] uttered these verses like that.

224. CHRONICLES OF THE ELDER RAKKHADĀYAKA
I have made a barrier to the Blessed One Siddhattha. And I have offered protection to the Sage, the Great Hermit.
Due to the special nature of that karma, I do not see terror and fear. When I was born anywhere, my trembling was unknown.
(Since) I made the barrier ninety-four kalpas ago, I no longer know the realm of suffering; this is the fruit of the barrier ring.
Formerly in the sixth life, (I was) a person named Apassena, a Wheel-turning King accomplished with the seven kinds of treasures, of great power.
Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberation, and six superior wisdom have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
The Venerable Ārakkhadāyaka[22] spoke these verses thus.

225. CHRONICLES OF THE ELDER AVYĀDHIKA
I have offered to the Blessed One Vipassī the Blessed One's house heating, shelter and hot water tank for the sick.
By doing so, my body has been well formed, I no longer know disease; this is the fruit of good karma.
Since I have offered the house ninety-one kalpas ago, I no longer know suffering; This is the fruit of the house heating.
Formerly in the seventh life, I was the only Aparājita, the Wheel-turner, accomplished in the seven kinds of treasures, of great power.
Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberation, and six superior wisdom have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
The Venerable Venerable Avyādhika[23] uttered these verses like that.

226. CHRONICLES OF THE ELDER AṄKOLAPUPPHIYA
Nārada is my name, (people) know me as Kassapa. I have seen Buddha Vipassī, the foremost among the recluses, revered by the gods.
The Buddha has secondary appearances as the recipient of offerings. I took the aṅkola flower and offered it to the Buddha.
(Since) I have offered flowers ninety-one kalpas ago, I no longer know suffering; this is the fruit of making offerings to the Buddha.
Seventy-four kalpas ago, (I was) a kingslayer named Romasa, adorned with pearls and garlands, with worthy army and means of transport.
Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberation, and six superior wisdom have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
Venerable Venerable Aṅkolapupphiya[24] spoke these verses like that.

227. CHRONICLES OF THE ELDER SOVAṆṆAVAṬAṂSAKIYA
While going out into the garden area, I saw the Leader of the World. I took the skillfully crafted gold crown.
Riding on the back of the elephant, I quickly climbed down from there and offered it to Buddha Sikhī, the relative of the world.
(Since) I have offered flowers thirty-one kalpas ago, I no longer know suffering; this is the fruit of making offerings to the Buddha.
27 kalpas ago, I was the sole ruler of the people named Mahāpatāpa, a wheel-turning King of great power.
Four analytical (wisdom), ―nt― I have practiced the Buddha's teaching.
The Venerable Elder Sovaṇṇavaṭaṃsakiya[25] spoke these verses like that.

228. CHRONICLES OF THE ELDER MIÑJAVAṬAṂSAKIYA
When the World Protector Sikhī, the noble among them preaching, passed away, I made the offering of the Bodhi tree with wreaths of flowers arranged in various places.
Since I have made offerings thirty-one kalpas ago, I have no longer known suffering; this is the fruit of making offerings to the Bodhi tree.
Twenty-six kalpas ago, I was a man named Meghabbha, a Wheel-turner, accomplished in the seven treasures, of great power.
Four analytical (wisdom), ―nt― I have practiced the Buddha's teaching.
The Venerable Elder Miñjavaṭaṃsakiya[26] uttered these verses thus.

229. CHRONICLES OF THE ELDER SUKATĀVELIYA
At that time, I was already a garland maker named Asita. After choosing the wreath for my head, I went to present it to the king.
Before I met the king, I saw the Sikh Leader. Overjoyed, I offered (garland) to the Buddha with a rejoicing mind.
(Since) I have offered flowers thirty-one kalpas ago, I no longer know suffering; this is the fruit of making offerings to the Buddha.
Twenty-five kalpas ago, I was a mighty king named Vebhāra, the mighty Wheel-turning-King.
Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberation, and six superior wisdom have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
The Venerable Venerable Sukatāveliya[27] spoke these verses thus.

230. CHRONICLES OF ELDER EKAVANDIYA
The Hero Vessabhū is the noble and noble among the victors. With a pure faith, with a joyful mind, I paid homage to the supreme Buddha.
Since I had done that thirty-one kalpas ago, I have known no suffering; this is the fruit of prostration.
(Formerly) 24 kalpas, (I was) a man named Vigatānanda, a Wheel-turner, accomplished in the seven kinds of treasures, of great power.
Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberation, and six superior wisdom have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
The Venerable Elder Ekavandiya[28] spoke these verses like that.
