As one who had (by himself) trained, accompanied by those who had been trained, the Conqueror had left the city. At that time, in the city of Haṃsavatī I was a garland maker. At that place which flower was perfect, I took three flowers. I saw the Buddha, the Immaculate, in the opposite direction of the market place. After seeing the Fully Enlightened One, at that time I thought thus: “ What do I gain with these flowers when I bring them to the king? Can I get the village, or the village field, or the thousand coins? The Protector of the World is the Conqueror of the untamed, the Wise, the source of the happiness of all sentient beings, after making offerings to him one will gain the property of Immortal ." After thinking like that, I made my mind pure. At that time, I held three red (lotus) flowers and threw them in the air. As soon as I threw them into the air, the flowers spread out. They remain there on the head, with the flower stalk at the top, the flower mouth at the bottom. After seeing it, anyone who belonged to the human race uttered a shout of praise, and the gods in the air performed an act of praise: “ Miracles have appeared in the world through the action of the supreme Buddha. We will all listen to the Dharma through the action of the flowers .” The Knower of the World Padumuttara, the recipient of offerings, standing right at the road, uttered these verses: “ The young man who made offerings to the Buddha with three pink lotuses, I will praise him. Please listen to Me. (This person) will be happy in the world of gods for a hundred thousand kalpas, and will be the Lord of the gods who rules over the heavenly kingdom for thirty kalpas . Immediately there will appear a palace named Mahāvitthārika, with a length of three hundred yojanas and a width of one hundred and fifty yojanas . And four hundred thousand pointed towers will be revealed, with noble pointed roofs, filled with large beds . Hundreds of thousands of fairy koṭi skilled in dance and lyrics, as well as proficient in performing musical instruments, will gather around. (This person) will live in such a noble palace in the midst of the bustle of women, often showered with red heavenly flowers . There will also be wheel-sized red flowers hanging from the ivory wall mount on the outside of the door, at the welcome gate. In that place, the interior of the noble palace was lined with petals, which, after being spread out and covered, would immediately merge together . Those pure red flowers surround the one hundred yojana abode and give off a heavenly fragrance . And (this person) will become a Wheel-turner seventy-five times. The kingdom's territory was vast, incalculable . After enjoying the two attainments, free from calamity, without danger, when the last life is attained (this person) will reach Nirvana .” Indeed, the Buddha was clearly seen by me, the business was skillfully done; after offering three pink lotus flowers, I have enjoyed three attainments. Today, I am the one who has attained the Dharma, fully liberated. There is a well-blown red lotus that will be maintained above my head. While Master Padumuttara was preaching about my work, there was the realization of the Dharma by thousands of sentient beings and lives. (Since) I made offerings to the Buddha one hundred thousand kalpas ago, I no longer know the suffering realm; this is the fruit of the three pink lotuses. My afflictions have been burned away, all existences have been erased, all defilements have been eradicated, now there is no more rebirth. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberation, and six superior wisdom have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
