There are a hundred thousand young women who always surround me. And there is a cleverly revealed golden armchair in the castle. 679. The means of transport by elephants, the means of transport by horses, the means of transport of the heavens are available. Castles and even palanquins were born as desired. 680. There were armchairs made of jade and many others made of core wood, all of which were born to me; this is the treasure of the lion throne. 681. When asked by me, these virtuous lay people replied that: “We intended to build the hall but didn't have a pillar.” 690. “Give it to me, I will give to the Guru a pillar. I'll bring the pillar, you don't have to worry." 691. They examined my pillar, and were gladly trusted. Then they came back and went to their own house. 692. At that time, when the lay crowd had not long left, I made an offering of the pillar. I became rejoicing, with a rejoicing mind I erected the first pillar. 693. Knowing my intentions, the Guru, the Supreme Being in the world, along with a thousand Unscrupulous ones came to my door. 801. “Superman, I salute Thee! O Supreme Being, I salute Thee! Among the 8 classes of Saints' entourage who are living in real life, there are many levels of Non-Leadership. That power is Yours, I go to rely on You. 806. And the World-Honored One, Piyadass, the World's Most High, the Human-Buddha, sat down at the Order of Bhikkhus and uttered these verses: 807. Not far from the Himalayas, there is a mountain called Nisabha, there is my well-built hermitage, and there is a well-built large house of leaves. 814. At that time, as an ascetic braided-haired ascetic named Kosiya, I lived in (mountain) Nisabha, alone without a second person. 815. At that time, I did not use the fruit, the roots, and the leaves (still on the tree). Meanwhile, I live off the yellowing leaves that have fallen. 816. Even while giving up my life, I do not spoil the nourishment of life. I make my mind happy, I stay away from wrong pursuits (in raising my life). 817. Whenever the mind related to craving arises in me, I examine it myself. When I was attentive, I tamed that craving, saying: 818. “You are attached to what is attractive, you are angered by what is unpleasant, and be bewitched by what fascinates you, get yourself out of the forest. 819. This residence for the ascetic ascetic has been pure, no longer unclean. Thou shalt not spoil the purity, thou wilt get out of the forest by yourself. 820. (If) you become a layperson, you will always bear the bondage. Don't be confused about two things (monastic life and home life), get yourself out of the forest. 821. Just as the firewood for burning a corpse is not an object to be used for work anywhere else, whether in the village or in the jungle, because it is no longer considered firewood. 822. Just like the kind of firewood that burns a corpse, you are no longer a layperson and you are not a monk. Today you are the one who no longer belongs to either class, you must get yourself out of the forest. 823. If this happens to you, who knows this in you? If you forsake your duty of faith, there will be much laziness in you. 824. The wise will hate you just as city dwellers hate pollution. The hermits will banish and always rebuke you. 825. The wise will criticize you for breaking the teachings. Even without attaining cohabitation, how can you live? 826. The elephant that has the power to approach and drive away the elephant is the mātaṅga (to age) abstinent in three places, sixty years old out of the herd. 827. While being separated from the herd, the elephant does not have security and comfort. It suffers, the mind is disturbed. While upset, it is agitated. 828. Similarly, braided-haired ascetics will also banish you as someone with evil intentions. While separated from them, you will not achieve peace, comfort. 829. Invaded by the arrow of sorrow, you are burned with anger whether by day or by night, like an elephant separated from its herd. 830. Just as metallic gold never causes the hammer to be burned anywhere, so with renunciation of precepts you will not cause (afflictions) to be burned anywhere. 831. Even if you live at home, how will you live? The property that belongs to the mother as well as to the father to be left to you is nonexistent. 832. While doing the work of making your body sweat, you will live at home like that. It is good that it is not to your liking.” 833. In that place, I prevented the mind from being inclined to be defiled in such a way. After giving explanations with various dharmas, I was able to stop evil thoughts. 834. Like that, while I was resting with abiding in distraction, thirty thousand years had passed while I was in the forest. 835. After seeing (I am) the seeker of the ultimate goal contented with non-distraction, the Fully Enlightened Padumuttara went to see me. 836. As the immeasurable, no equivalent person, has the color aura (bright yellow) of the timbarūsaka fruit, no one can match in terms of physique, then the Buddha was walking in the air. 837. Just like the sālā tree was in bloom, like lightning in the middle of the clouds in the sky, the Buddha had no equal in wisdom when he walked in the air. 838. Like a lion lord who was not afraid, like a proud king elephant, like a shining tiger lord, (the Buddha) then went walking in the air. 839. Has the golden aura of gold coins, like the embers of khadira wood, like the wish-fulfilling mani pearl, (the Buddha) then went walking in the air. 840. With the pure light of Mount Kelāsa, like the moon on the full moon day, like the sun at noon, (the Buddha) then went walking in the air. 841. After seeing him walking in the air, I then thought like this: “Is this being a heavenly person, or is this a human being? 842. People like this on earth we have never heard or seen. There is also the spell (about appearance), this person will be the guru." 843. After thinking like that, I made my mind pure. At that time I gathered many kinds of flowers and fragrant things. 844. Having prepared a seat with flowers, I said to the well-intentioned, pleasing one, the leader among the people who have tamed people says this: 845. “Venerable Sir, this seat that I have prepared is suitable for you. While making my mind happy, please sit down on the flower seat.” 846. The Blessed One sat down there, like a lion without fear. The Buddha sat on the seat of the noble flower for seven days and nights. 847. While worshiping (Him), I stood for seven days and nights. The Master, the Supreme Being in the world has come out of meditation. 848. While praising my work, His Holiness said these words: “You should cultivate the remembrance of the Buddha as the unsurpassed (dhamma) of all practices. 849. After practicing this mindfulness, you will have full mind and will be happy in the world of the gods for thirty thousand kalpas. 850. You will be the Lord of the Gods who will rule over the Heavenly Kingdom eighty times. You will become a Wheel-turning King in the kingdom a thousand times. 851. The kingdom's territory was vast, beyond measure. You will enjoy all these things; this is the fruit of remembrance of the Buddha. 852. While reincarnating in this world, you will gain great wealth, there will be no shortage of wealth; this is the fruit of remembrance of the Buddha. 853. In one hundred thousand kalpas (later), a Master named Gotama, of the lineage, of the Okkāka clan, will appear in the world. 854. After giving up eighty koṭi (eight hundred million), many slaves and laborers, you will become ordained in the Dhamma of the Blessed One Gotama. 855. After pleasing the noble Sakya lord Gotama, the Fully Enlightened One, thou shalt become the sravaka of the guru with the name Subhūti. 856. Having sat down in the Assembly of Bhikkhus, (that Buddha) will establish you in the supreme position in two respects of having the virtue worthy of offering and so on in terms of remaining in emptiness. infatuated." 857. Having said this, the Fully Enlightened One named Padumuttara, the wise one, flew up into the air like a king swan in the sky. 858. Having been instructed by the Protector of the World, I paid homage to the Tathagata. Delighted, I always practice recollection of the Buddha, the supreme dharma. 859. Because that karma was done well and due to the aspirational forces of intention, after renouncing the human body, I went to the Dao Loi heaven. 860. I have been the Lord of the Gods to rule over the Heavenly Kingdom eighty times. And I have been a Wheel-turner a thousand times. 861. The kingdom's territory was vast, and could not be measured in terms of numbers. I enjoy good achievements; this is the fruit of remembrance of the Buddha. 862. While in samsara in this world, I gain great wealth, I have no shortage of wealth; this is the fruit of remembrance of the Buddha. 863. Since I did that one hundred thousand kalpas ago, I no longer know the suffering; this is the fruit of remembrance of the Buddha. 864. Four (wisdom) analysis, ―(as above)― I have practiced the teachings of the Buddha. The Venerable Subhti uttered these verses thus. The record of the elder Subhūti is the first part. --ooOoo-- 22. Chronicles of Elder Upavāna 865. The Conqueror named Padumuttara is the master of all dharmas. After igniting like a mass of fire, The Perfectly Enlightened One has passed away Nirvana. 866. Crowds of people came together and made offerings to the Tathagata. After completing the well-executed cremation pyre, they lifted the body. 867. After performing their duties with respect to the body, they gathered the relics in that place. All of them including gods and humans built the stupa dedicated to the Buddha. 868. The first floor is made of gold, the second layer is made of jade mani, the third floor is made of silver, and the fourth floor is made of jade crystal. 869. Similarly, the rim of the fifth floor was made of rubies, the sixth floor was made of precious stones, and the upper part was made of all kinds of jewels. 870. The lower part is made of jade mani, the platform is made of jewels. Made entirely of gold, the stupa rises to a height of one do-week. 871.
