XXXIX. AVAṆṬAPHALA . PRODUCTS
381. Chronicles of the Elder Avaṇṭaphaladāyaka
3278. The Blessed One named Sataraṃsī is the Self, the one who is not defeated. Having a desire to live alone, the Perfectly Enlightened One went on to beg for food.
3279. With fruit in my hand, I saw the Taurus and went near Him. With a pure mind, with a joyful mind, I offered the fruit of avaṇṭa .
3280. (Since) I have offered fruit ninety-four kalpas ago, I no longer know suffering; this is the fruit of the fruit offering.
3281. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3282. My afflictions have been burned, all existences have been erased. After breaking the bondage as a male elephant (untied), I lived free of lust.
3283. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.

382. Chronicles of Elder Labujadāyaka
3284. I was a temple assistant in the city of Bandhumatī. I saw the Buddha, the Immaculate, moving in the air.
3285. I took the fruit of bread and made an offering to the supreme Buddha. One of great fame received, while standing in space.
3286. After I had offered fruit to the Buddha with a pure mind, I had the arising of joy, (which is) the source of peace in the present time.
3287. At that time, I attained immense bliss and supreme peace. There are also jewels that arise (for me) when I am born here and there.
3288. Ever since I had offered fruit ninety-one kalpas ago, I no longer knew suffering; this is the fruit of the fruit offering.
3289. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3290. My afflictions have been burned, all existences have been erased. After breaking the bondage as a male elephant (untied), I lived free of lust.
3291. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.

383. Chronicles of the Elder Udumbaraphaladāyaka
3292. The Supreme Being dwelt on the banks of the Vinatā river. I have seen the Buddha, the Immaculate, who is attentive, extremely concentrated.
3293. Having faith in him, who has the cleansing of defilements, I took figs and made offerings to the supreme Buddha.
3294. Since I have offered fruit ninety-one kalpas ago, I have no longer known suffering; this is the fruit of the fruit offering.
3295. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3296. My afflictions have been burned, all existences have been erased. After breaking the bondage as a male elephant (untied), I lived free of lust.
3297. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.

384. Chronicles of the Elder Pilakkhaphaladāyaka
3298. After seeing the Buddha Atthadassī, who had great fame, at the end of the forest, I offered pilakkha fruit with a pure mind, with a joyful mind.
3299. Since I have offered fruit (before) one thousand eight hundred kalpas, I no longer know suffering; this is the fruit of the fruit offering.
3300. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have attained the three wisdoms, have practiced the teachings of the Buddha in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3301. My afflictions have been burned, all existences have been erased. After breaking the bondage as a male elephant (untied), I lived free of lust.
3302. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.

385. Chronicles of the Elder Phārusaphaladāyaka
3303. While the Perfectly Enlightened One had bright yellow skin, the recipient of offerings, was walking on the road, I made an offering of pharusa fruit .
3304. (Since) I have offered fruit ninety-one kalpas ago, I no longer know suffering; this is the fruit of the fruit offering.
3305. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3306. My afflictions have been burned, all existences have been erased. After breaking the bondage as a male elephant (untied), I lived free of lust.
3307. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
The venerable thera Phārusaphaladāyaka [5] spoke these verses thus.

386. Chronicles of the Elder Valliphaladāyaka
3308. At that time, all the people had gathered and had gone to the forest. Then, while searching for fruit, they obtained fruit.
3309. There, I saw the Perfectly Enlightened One, the Self-Controlling One, the one who was not defeated. With a pure mind, with a joyful mind, I offered valli fruit .
3310. Since I have offered fruit thirty-one kalpas ago, I have no longer known suffering; this is the fruit of the fruit offering.
3311. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3312. My afflictions have been burned, all existences have been erased. After breaking the bondage as a male elephant (untied), I lived free of lust.
3313. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
The venerable venerable Valliphaladāyaka [6] uttered these verses thus.

387. Chronicles of the Elder Kadaliphaladāyaka
3314. I have seen a World Leader like a burning kaṇikāra tree , like the moon on a full moon day, like a shining lamp.
3315. I took the banana and offered it to the Guru. With a pure faith, with joy in mind, I bowed down and left.
3316. Since I have offered fruit thirty-one kalpas ago, I have no longer known suffering; this is the fruit of the fruit offering.
3317. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3318. My afflictions have been burned, all existences have been erased. After breaking the bondage as a male elephant (untied), I lived free of lust.
3319. Four (intellectual) analysis, eight liberation, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
The Venerable Kadaliphaladāyaka [7] spoke these verses thus.

388. Chronicles of the Elder Panasaphaladāyaka
3320. At that time, the Enlightened One, named Ajjuna, dwelt in the Himalayas. He is the Wise One, accomplished in conduct, and skilled in concentration.
3321. I took a jīvajīvaka jackfruit the size of a jar of water. I have placed it in a pot of leaves and have made an offering to the Guru.
3322. Since I have offered fruit ninety-one kalpas ago, I have no longer known suffering; this is the fruit of the fruit offering.
3323. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3324. My afflictions have been burned, all existences have been erased. After breaking the bondage as a male elephant (untied), I lived free of lust.
3325. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.

389. Chronicles of the Elder Soṇakoṭivīsa
3326. During the Dharma period of (Buddha) Vipassī, a cave was built by me for the Fourfold Assembly in the city of Bandhumā.
3327. After lining the floor of the cave with cloths, I made a dedication. With an elated heart, with a joyful mind, I then fulfilled the wish that:
3328. " May I please the Fully Enlightened One, may attain ordination, and may attain the supreme peace, unsurpassed Nirvana ."
3329. Due to that very pure factor, I have reincarnated ninety kalpas. Whether I become a God or a human, I am radiant, a person of merit that has been created (before).
3330. Then, by virtue of a remnant of karma, here in my last life I was born as the only son of the great protector at Campā.
3331. As soon as I was born, I heard that my father had made this wish: " I will give you twenty koṭi (two hundred million) money, not a single penny ."
3332. My hairs, four fingers long, are grown on both soles of my feet. They are slender, soft to the touch, as pretty as cotton.
3333. Ninety lives have passed, this life is another, I do not know that the feet are placed on the unlined ground.
3334. I have satisfied the Fully Enlightened One, I have ordained into the family life. And the status of Arahant was attained by me. I obtained a cool state, attained Nirvana.
3335. The All-Knowledge has determined that I am the first among those who have tried their best, and have either contraband or have been terminated, as an Arahant, with six winning positions, with great divine power.
3336. Since I have made alms before ninety-one kalpas ago, I no longer know the suffering; this is the fruit of the cave offering.
3337. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3338. My afflictions have been burned, all existences have been erased. After breaking the bondage as a male elephant (untied), I lived free of lust.
3339. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
3340. At the great lake Anotatta, in front of the Order of Bhikkhus, the elder Soṇa Koṭivisa when asked the question answered.

390. Signature Pubbakammapilotika
3341. In the forest of various fragrances near the lake of Anotatta, on the flat surface of the lovely rock that is glittered with many kinds of jewels.
3342. Surrounded by a large Assembly of Bhikkhus, the World Leader, sitting there, explained his past deeds:
3343. “ Hey, bhikkhus, listen to me. Whatever karma has been created by Me, if it is petty karma, it will ripen even if it is in the Buddha's being .
3344. In other previous lives I was a scoundrel named Munāḷī. I have slandered the Paccekabuddha Sarabhū, (He is) the one who does no wrong .
3345. Due to the achievement of that karma, I have been reincarnated for a long time in hell for many thousands of kalpas and have received suffering .
3346. Due to the remnants of that karma, here in the last life, I have received slander for the cause of (the female wanderer) Sundarika .
3347. The Buddha Sabbābhibhū had a Disciple named Nanda. Because of that false accusation, I have been reincarnated in hell for a long time .
3348. I have transmigrated in hell for ten thousand years. Having attained human nature, I have received many false accusations .
3349. Due to the remnants of that karma, Ciñcamānavikā slandered Me with the unreal in front of the crowd .
3350. I was a wise Brahmin, honored and respected. I taught spells to five hundred young men in the great forest .
3351. The hermit Bhīma, who had five great positions of wisdom, had great divine power, went to that place. And after seeing him come, I falsely accused him of not doing anything wrong .
3352. Then I said to my disciples: 'This hermit has a life of sensual pleasures.' Even while I was speaking, young men happily followed .
3353. Then all the young men, while begging from house to house, said to the crowd: 'This hermit has a life of sensual pleasures.'
3354. As a result of the achievement of that karma, all five hundred of these bhikkhus suffered slander, for the cause of (the female wanderer) Sundarika .
3355. In the past, for the cause of property I killed my half-brother (same father). I rushed into the treacherous gorge and crushed it with a rock .
3356. As a result of that karmic accomplishment, Devadatta threw a rock and broke the big toe of my foot due to a fragment of the rock .
3357. Before, I was a boy playing on the main road. After seeing the Paccekabuddha, I threw a stone on the path (at that Buddha) .
3358. Due to the achievement of that karma, here in the last life, Devadatta arranged assassins for the purpose of killing Me .
3359. Before, I was an elephant rider. (Seeing) the supreme sage, single-mindedly enlightened, going around for alms, I attacked him with an elephant .
3360. Due to the achievement of that karma, in the city of Giribbaja, the elephant Nālāgirī was furious and approached me .
3361. I was the king, the ruler. I killed the man with the spear. As a result of that karmic accomplishment, I was fiercely burned in hell .
3362. Due to the remnants of that karma, now the entire skin of my feet is uncomfortable, because karma is not destroyed .
3363. I was a fisherman in the fisherman's village. After seeing the fish being killed, I was filled with joy .
3364. As a result of the achievement of that karma, there was a pain in my head. And when Viḍūdabha rebelled, all the Sakya clans were killed .
3365. At the time of the Dhamma of (Buddha) Phussa, I rebuked the Sravakas saying: 'You chew, eat barley, and do not eat sālī rice.'
3366. As a result of that accomplishment, I (right) ate barley for three months. At that time, invited by the Brahmin, I dwelt in Verañjā .
3367. While the wrestling was in progress, I knocked down the son of the Malla. As a result of that karmic accomplishment, there was pain in my back .
3368. I was a physician. I gave the millionaire's son an enema. As a result of that accomplishment, I have diarrhea .
3369. At that time, I was Jotipāla. I said to the Venerable Kassapa: 'Enlightenment is a very difficult attainment, where is it to those who shave their heads?'
3370. As a result of that karmic accomplishment, I practiced many difficult deeds for six years at Uruvelā, after which I attained Enlightenment .
3371. I have not attained supreme Enlightenment by this (Middle Way) path. Stopped by past karma, I sought the wrong path (asceticism) .
3372. I have an end to good and evil, I have kept away from all irritations, I have no sorrows, no sorrows, I will Nirvana, no more gonorrhea ."
3373. The Conqueror, who has attained the full power of the winning position, in front of the Assembly of Bhikkhus, at the great lake of Anotatta, has explained like that.
Thus the Blessed One spoke of a Dhamma discourse called Pubbakamma-pilotika [9] which refers to one's past actions like that.
The Chronicle of the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha Pubbakammapilotika is the tenth part.

avaṇṭa fruit , also bread fruit, fig, and pilakkha fruit, pharusa fruit , valli fruit , and banana flavor, jackfruit, Koṭivīsa flavor, and the signature " Pubbakammapiloti " of the Great Hermit; (total) there are ninety-one verses counted by the wise.
The Avaṇṭaphala product is the thirty-ninth chapter.

XL. PRODUCTS INDIVACCHA
391. Chronicles of the Elder Piḷindivaccha
3374. I was a gatekeeper in the city of Haṃsavatī. The wealth that has been accumulated in my house is immeasurable, immeasurable.
3375. After going to the deserted place and sitting down, I was in good spirits. After sitting down in the noble place of the castle, I then thought thus:
3376. “ I have acquired much wealth, and my interior is rich. Even King Ānanda, the lord of the earth, invited (me) .
3377. And this Buddha appeared. The Wise One is a rare phenomenon. And when my wealth is known, I will give alms to the Guru .
3378. The noble gifts that Prince Paduma offered to the Conqueror were dragons and armchairs, and the support was not meager .
3379. I will also offer alms that have not been previously offered by others to the Congregation, the ultimate noble collective. I will be the first to do it .”
3380. After thinking about the happy fruit of giving it in many ways, I have found that giving of things is fulfilling my intention.
3381. “ I will offer all kinds of items that have not been offered before by others to the Congregation, the supreme noble group. I will be the first to do it .”
3382. Immediately I went to the bamboo workers and told me to make a canopy. I have gathered a hundred thousand umbrellas into a pile.
3383. I have gathered one hundred thousand cloths into one pile. I have gathered a hundred thousand bowls in a heap.
3384. I ordered the mini hammers, small knives, and also sewing needles and nail clippers to be done right, and hung them under the umbrella.
3385. I have been told to follow the specifications for blowers, palm leaf fans, peacock feather fans, bison tail fans, water filters, and oil containers.
3386. I was told to follow the specifications for the needle cartridges, the shoulder straps, also the body straps, and the well-crafted footrests.
3387. I filled the pots with supplies and also the small copper bowls with medicines, and placed them under the umbrella.
3388. I filled the pots with everything like roots, usīra grass , molasses, long pepper, peppercorns, harītakī fruit , ginger root.
3389. I have been told to follow the specifications of the sandals, the shoes, the water-drying objects, the well-crafted canes.
3390. (I was told to do) ointment tubes, applicator sticks, water filters, keys, key pouches embroidered in five colors.
3391. I was told to follow the specification of the bandages, the chimneys, and also the lampstands, the measuring devices, and the small boxes.
3392. I was told to follow the specifications of the tongs, the scissors, the trash cans, and also the medicine bags.
3393. I have had benches, stools, and armchairs made of four materials [10] and have been arranged under the parasol.
3394. I was told to do the fleece mattresses, the cotton mattresses, also the stool cushions, and the well-made pillows.
3395. (I was told to do) scrubs, beeswax, cooking oils, hand warmers, containers, boards, sewing needles, plus sheets.
3396. (I was told to do) the seats, the doormats, the bed supports, the toothbrushes and scrubs, the head lotions.
3397. (I was told to do) fire-making objects, straw chairs, bowl and bowl lids, water scoops, bath powder, and dye pots.
3398. (I was told to make) a broom, a water tank, so on, a rain bath cloth, a seat pad, a scabies cloth, and undergarments.
3399. (I told him to) double top and bottom robes, a nasal inhaler, a mouth cleaner, lots of vinegar and salt, honey and a yogurt drink.
3400. (I was told to make) incense sticks, beeswax, rags, face towels, thread, whatever is called an offering, and whatever is suitable for the Guru.
3401. Having gathered all this, I went to see King Ānanda. Having met the birth of the Great Hermit, I bowed my head and said these words:
3402. “ (We) were born and raised together, our minds are similar, we share happiness and suffering, and we both have the same goal .
3403. Sir , the enemy sensor, (god) has suffering in mind related to His Majesty. O king of kings, if you have the ability to ask you to put an end to that suffering ."
3404. “ Your suffering is mine, your mind is the same. If it concerns me, then realize that: 'It is done. '”
3405. "Dear great king, please understand for me, my suffering is difficult to eliminate. While possible, please declare that there is something precious that you cannot give up ."
3406. " Even if it's the kingdom, to my life, if there is any benefit to you with these things, I will give it to you without hesitation ."
3407. “ Your Majesty, indeed, you have declared. (However) that has been falsely claimed by many. Today I will know that Your Majesty is firm in all matters (or not?) .”
3408. “ You forced me too much while I was giving to you. What benefit do you get from forcing me? Tell me what you have longed for ."
3409. “ O great king, I wish for the supreme Buddha, the Supreme One. I will take care of the meal until the fully Enlightened, please don't let my life become a sin ."
3410. “ I will give you another favor, don't ask (for) the Tathagata. The Buddha is like a wish-fulfilling mani pearl that cannot be given to anyone ."
3411. “ Your Majesty, is it not what you claim to be (to give) even your own life? Rather, it is better to give the Tathagata than to give one's life ."
3412. “ The Great Hero should be reserved, the Conqueror cannot give it to anyone, the Buddha will not be approved by me. Choose to have unlimited wealth .”
3413. “ Let's go to arbitration, we'll ask the judges. Let's argue about it in the way that they will ."
3414. I took the king's hand and went to the court. Before the judges, I uttered these words:
3415. “ Please, judges, listen to me. The king has given me a favor, not excluding anything, he has also given me life .
3416. When he bestowed his favor on me, I prayed to the supreme Buddha. (Thus) Buddha has been given to me in a good way, or do I have doubts? ”
3417. “ We will listen to you and to the king who is the protector of the land. After listening to the two of them, we will cut off the doubt in this place ."
3418. “ Your Majesty, have you bestowed all that belongs to this man, and also life, without excluding anything? ”
3419. “ It was because of a difficult situation that (this person) asked for the supreme favor. After learning that this person was suffering greatly, I gave everything in my possession ."
3420. " Your Majesty, the loss belongs to you, the Tathagata should be given to this person. Your doubts have been severed, please stay true to the facts ."
3421. Standing right there, the king said this to the judge: “ O sages, if you too can give me (the favor), I will (will) receive the Buddha . ”
3422. " After you have fulfilled all your intentions, after having taken care of the meal for the Tathagata, you should hand over the Fully Enlightened One to the one of great fame Ānanda ."
3423. After paying homage to the judges and also to the king-king Ānanda, I became overjoyed and went to see the All-Enlightened One.
3424. After having gone to meet the Perfectly Enlightened One, who had crossed the floodwaters and was no longer tainted, I bowed my head and said these words:
3425. “ White One, please accept the invitation along with a hundred thousand capable people. You are bringing joy to my heart, please come to my house .”
3426. Knowing my intention, the One Who Knows the World Padumuttara, the recipient of the offerings, the Right Eye, accepted.
3427. After learning of (the Buddha's) acceptance, I bowed down to the Guru. Rejoicing, elated, I went home.
3428. After convening my friends and officials, I uttered these words: “ I have achieved a very difficult accomplishment, like (gained) a wish-fulfilling mani pearl .
3429. He is the Immeasurable, Unparalleled, the Wisdom who has no equal, no equal, the Conqueror without rival, what shall we offer him with?
3430. Similarly, the Human Niu is the equivalent of the incomparable, there is no second, so the upward action worthy of the Buddha is difficult for me .
3431. Let's collect different types of flowers and let's make a flower canopy; all these offerings will be worthy of the Buddha .”
3432. I made a canopy with blue lotus flowers, including pink lotus, vassika flower, adhimuttaka flower, campaka flower , and nāga flower .
3433. I have arranged a hundred thousand seats in the shade of the umbrellas. The last seat for me was worth over a hundred (coins).
3434. I have arranged a hundred thousand seats in the shade of the parasols. After preparing the rice and water, I announced the time.
3435. When the time was announced, the Great Sage Padumuttara with one hundred thousand capable persons came to my house.
3436. Along with one hundred thousand capable persons, the Supreme Being sat down (seat) with a canopy being maintained above, under a canopy made of skillfully blooming flowers.
3437. " White One, please accept one hundred thousand umbrellas, one hundred thousand seats to sit properly and without making mistakes ."
3438. Intent to help me overcome, the One Knowing the World Padumuttara, the recipient of the offerings, the Great Sage accepted it.
3439. I have offered each bhikkhu a separate bowl. You have discarded the bowl before and have used metal bowls.
3440. The Buddha sat on the roof of the flower seven days and nights. While helping many sentient beings to enlightenment, he turned the wheel of Dharma.
3441. While he was turning the wheel of Dharma under the canopy of the flower, there was the Dharma reception of eighty-four thousand (sentient beings).
3442. When the seventh day had come, the Great Sage Padumuttara, sitting in the shade of an umbrella, spoke these verses:
3443. “ The young man who has made a noble offering without lacking anything to Me, I will praise him. People, listen to Me .
3444. The elephants, the horses, the chariots, the soldiers and the army of the four branches will regularly escort this person; this is the fruit of giving everything.
3445. Elephant vehicles, horse-drawn vehicles, palanquins, and carts will regularly serve this person; this is the fruit of giving everything .
3446. Sixty thousand chariots decorated with all kinds of ornaments will regularly escort this man; this is the fruit of giving everything .
3447. Sixty thousand musical instruments and decorated large drums will regularly perform to this man; this is the fruit of giving everything .
3448. Eighty-six thousand women were adorned, adorned with colorful fabrics, and had pearl and manifold earrings.
3449. With curled eyelashes, a smile, a graceful posture, a slim waist, the girls will often surround this person; this is the fruit of giving everything .
3450. (This person) will be happy in the world of gods for 30,000 lives, and will be the Lord of the gods to rule over the heavenly kingdom 1,000 times.
3451. And (this person) will become a Wheel-turner a thousand times. The kingdom's territory was vast, incalculable .
3452. While living in the world of gods, the person who has obtained meritorious karma possesses a jewel-covered canopy that covers the entire world of the gods .
3453. When (this person) longs for shade, there is an umbrella made of cloth and the flower will cover the shade on a regular basis, according to this person's will .
3454. After dying from the world of gods, motivated by the element of purity, associated with good karma, (this person) will become a relative of Brahma (the Brahmin lineage) .

3466. Why is there no maintenance of parasols for me in this life? For all the karma that I have done is for the sake of attaining the umbrella of liberation.

3468. While I was reincarnating in the realm of existence, I had a brilliant yellow skin color, without dust, with luminosity, with splendor, and my body was lustrous.

3597. Having approached the Fully Enlightened One, the Protector of the World, the Human Bull, I bowed down to the Master's feet and uttered these words:

3599. The Head of the Order of Bhikkhus received the Right Eye, and before three hundred people he uttered these verses:

3622. The Buddha, the Great Hero whom I have invited, is difficult to approach, difficult to tame, unshakable, upward, noble, similar to Mount Neru .
3623. The Buddha, the Great Hero whom I invited, has boundless wisdom, equivalent to an incomparable, inestimable level, has reached its peak, similar to the atmosphere of space .

3629. The Buddha, the Great Hero whom I invited, is the elder, has risen up in the world by himself, adorned with appearances, is immeasurable .

3653. After doing the work together in the Supreme Phuoc Dien, after reincarnating together, they stopped together.
3654. After offering the support beams, I have lived according to the nature of the community. Since that kamma was well done, I obtained the eight factors:
3655. I am exalted in every direction, and my wealth is immeasurable, I am the support of all, my trembling is not known.
3656. My diseases are not known, and I preserve my life, I am a man of soft skin, I dwell in the desired abode.
3657. After offering eight poles, I have lived according to the nature of the community. I have analytical wisdom and arahantship, which is a supplement to the eighth.
3658. White Great Sage, I have all the fuel exhausted, the task has been completed, no longer smuggled, is His son, whose name is Aṭṭhagopānasī.
3659. After offering five pillars, I have lived according to the nature of community. Since that karma was well done, I obtained the five factors:
3660. I don't waver through loving-kindness, I have flawless body parts, I have recognized speech, and I am not attacked.
3661. My mind is not scattered, I am not wavered by anything. Because that karma was well done, I was not tainted in the Dharma.
3662. Bach Dai Hung, white sage, his bhikkhu Thinh Van has respect, has obedience, has a duty done, no more pirates, please pay homage to him.
3663. I have made the armchair that is skillfully made and arranged in the hall. Since that karma was well done, I attained the five factors:
3664. After being born into a noble family, I have great wealth. I am the one who achieves everything, my mediocrity is not known.
3665. When I wished to leave, an armchair appeared next to me. With the ultimate armchair, I went where I wanted to go.
3666. By offering that armchair, I have banished all darkness. White Wise One, the elder who has attained the full power of transcendental wisdom, please pay homage to him.
3667. I have fulfilled all my duties, my duties and duties towards others. Since that kamma was well done, I entered the city fearless (Nirvana).
3668. I have made a useful offering that the hall has been completed. Because that karma has been well done, I have reached the ultimate being.
3669. Any trainer in the world, when they train elephants, horses, they perform various tortures, they train with brutality.
3670. Bach Dai Hung, You do not train men and women like that. He trains in the ultimate training, without a stick, without a knife.
3671. While extolling the virtues of giving, the Wise is skilled in preaching. Even while answering a question, the Wise One enlightened three hundred people.
3672. Trained by the Conqueror, we have been completely liberated, free of taints, have attained the full power of superior wisdom, have been eradicated from the seed of rebirth.
3673. Since I have made alms a hundred thousand aeons ago, all fears have been overcome; this is the fruit of the offering of the hall.
3674. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the teachings of the Buddha in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3675. My afflictions have been burned, all existences have been erased. After breaking the bondage as a male elephant (untied), I lived free of lust.
3676. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.

3677. (I have seen the Leader of the World) is like a burning kaṇikāra tree, like a glowing lamp, like a shining osadhī star , like lightning in the sky.
3678. (I have seen the Leader of the World) fearless, fearless, like the lion king of beasts, radiating the light of wisdom, dominating groups of pagans.
3679. I have seen the World Leader saving this world, cutting all doubts, as (the lion) the king of beasts roaring.
3680. I was the one wearing the bun, the goatskin, the noble, the upright, the splendor. I took the bark robe and spread it at the foot (of the Buddha).
3681. I took the fragrant ointment kāḷānusāriya and applied it to the Tathagata. After applying it to the Perfectly Enlightened One, I praised the World Leader saying:
3682. “ White Great Sage, You have overcome the flood, You have saved this world, You are shining with the light of wisdom, (His) ultimate wisdom is unobstructed .
3683. He turned the wheel of Dharma, he overcame other heathens, he was the noble one who won the battle, he shook the earth .
3684. The waves in the ocean were broken at the shore, in the same way all wrong views were shattered in his wisdom .
3685. When a net with a small hole is placed in the lake, the creatures that enter the net are immediately suppressed .
3686. Venerable Sir, in the same way that the pagans of the world rely on ordinary heresy, they revolve within your noble wisdom .
3687. He is the shore for those who are swept away by the floodwaters, it is he who is the protector of the unloved, the protector for those who suffer from fear, the refuge of those whose goals have been distracted .
3688. He is a unique hero, no one else is like him, is the accumulation of compassion and love, has good precepts, no equal, is peaceful, powerful, steady, has won the battle. journey .
3689. He is the wise, whose delusion has been separated, no longer desires, no doubts, lived to the fullest, anger has been denied, unpolluted, purified, purified. pure .
3690. He has overcome attachment, has destroyed pride, has the three wisdoms, has reached the end of the three realms, has crossed boundaries, has respect for the Dharma, has a purpose achieved. implementation, there is a useful path .
3691. He is like the star (guide) of the boat, like the hidden treasure that is a source of consolation, like the fearless lion, like the haughty king elephant .”
3692. After praising the great man Padumuttara in ten verses, having bowed down at the feet of the Master, then I stood silent.
3693. The One Who Knows the World Padumuttara, the recipient of offerings, the Master, standing in the Assembly of Bhikkhus, spoke these verses:
3694. “ Whoever has extolled virtue and wisdom, including My Dharma, I will praise him. People, listen to Me .
3695. (That person) will be happy in the world of the gods sixty thousand kalpas. After surpassing other gods, (he) will be established as lord .
3696. Later that person will be ordained, motivated by the element of purity, he will be ordained in the Dhamma of the Blessed One Gotama .
3697. After renunciation, after staying away from evil karma with the body, after knowing all about all the taints, (that person) will Nirvana without any contraband .”
3698. “ The Great Hero, just as a thundering cloud (lightning) fills this earth, in the same way You have satisfied me with the Dharma .”
3699. After praising virtue, wisdom, Dharma, and World Leader, I have attained absolute peace, Nirvana, indestructible status.
3700. Oh, if that World-Honored One could last long, then (many people) could perceive the unknown and be able to reach the Immortal status.
3701. This is my last birth, all beings have been erased. After comprehensive knowledge of all contraband, I live free of contraband.
3702. (Since) I have praised the Buddha one hundred thousand aeons ago, I no longer know the suffering scene; this is the fruit of praise.
3703. My afflictions have been burned away, all existences have been erased, all taints have been eradicated, now there is no more rebirth.
3704. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3705. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.

3706. My hermitage has been cleverly built on the banks of the Sindhu River. At that place, I just taught the students about tradition and appearance.
3707. They have a desire for the Dharma, have been trained, have a desire to hear good teachings. Having attained the perfection of the six factors, they dwell on the banks of the Sindhu river.
3708. At that time, while searching for the ultimate goal, they lived in the vast forest.
3709. The Fully Enlightened One named Sumedha at that time appeared in the world. Thinking of us, the Scout drew near.
3710. When the Great Hero, the World Leader Sumedha drew near, I made a carpet of grass and made an offering to the Most High of the world.
3711. I have taken honey from the vast forest and have offered it to the supreme Buddha. The Fully Enlightened One has lived and uttered these words:
3712. “ Whoever has faith and has offered this honey to Me with his own hands, I will praise him. People, listen to Me .
3713. By this offering of honey and by the carpet covered with grass, (he) will rejoice in the world of the gods for thirty thousand aeons .
3714. In thirty thousand aeons (later), a Master named Gotama from the Okkāka clan will appear in the world .
3715. As an heir to that (Buddha)'s Dharma, being orthodox, created from the Dharma, (he) will know comprehensively about all defilements and will attain Nirvana without contraband ."
3716. After coming here from the world of gods, when (I) entered my mother's womb, a rain of honey poured down, covering the earth with honey.
3717. And just as I was coming out of my mother's womb with great difficulty, there was also a rain of honey that kept pouring down on me.
3718. After leaving home, I have ordained into the family life, I have obtained food and water; this is the fruit of the honey offering.
3719. I am rich in all sensual pleasures after having lived in the (world) of gods and humans. It was through that honey offering that I attained the cessation of defilements
3720. When it rains on the four-fingered grass, when the herbs that grow on the ground have bloomed and covered all over, in the empty house, in the roof and in the tree, I live forever peace, no more pirated or.
3721. I have transcended all the medium, great, and low realms. Today my defilements have been eradicated, now there is no more rebirth.
3722. Ever since I have offered (before) thirty thousand kalpas, I no longer know the suffering scene; this is the fruit of the honey offering.
3723. My afflictions have been burned away, all existences have been erased, all taints have been eradicated, now there is no more rebirth.
3724. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3725. Four (intellectual) analysis, eight liberation, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.

3726. The Buddha named Piyadassī is the Self, the World Leader. The Fully Enlightened One, the sage, has a desire for seclusion, skilled in concentration.
3727. After going deep into the jungle, the Great Sage Piyadassī, the Supreme Being, spread out a robe made of discarded fabric and sat down.
3728. In the past, I was a wild animal hunter in the jungle. At that time, while searching for pasada deer , I (was) wandered.
3729. In that place, I saw the Perfectly Enlightened One, who had crossed the floodwaters, no longer had any contraband, like the sālā tree that had blossomed, as if the sun had risen.
3730. After seeing the God of the gods, the one of great fame Piyadassī, then I waded into the natural lake and brought back the pink lotus.
3731. After bringing the hundred-petaled pink lotus to my liking, I built a house with a pointed roof and covered it with pink lotus flowers.
3732. The one with compassion, the Compassionate One, the Great Sage Piyadassī, the Buddha, the Conqueror spent seven days and nights in the pointed roof house.
3733. After removing the wilted (flowers), I covered them with new (flowers). Immediately after, I put my hands together and stood still.
3734. Great sage Piyadassī has emerged from concentration. While observing the directions, the Leader of the world sat down.
3735. At that time, a great attendant named Sudassana understood the mind of the Buddha, the Master Piyadassana.
3736. Accompanied by eighty thousand bhikkhus, he approached the World Leader who was sitting peacefully at the end of the forest.
3737. And until the gods dwell in the jungle, after knowing the mind of the Buddha, then all have gathered.
3738. When the yakshas, the evil spirits, and the demons had come together, and when the Order of Bhikkhus had arrived, the Conqueror uttered these verses:
3739. “ Whoever has made an offering and has made a dwelling for Me for seven days, I will praise him. People, listen to Me .
3740. With wisdom I will extoll that which is so hard to see, so subtle, so profound, already well expressed. People, listen to Me .
3741. (That person) will rule the Heavenly Kingdom for fourteen kalpas. There is a great pointed-roofed building, covered with pink lotus flowers, which will be maintained in the air for him; this is the fruit of working with flowers .
3742. (He) will alternate reincarnation (between heaven and human realm) two thousand four hundred kalpas. There will be a palace made of flowers maintained in the air (for him).
3743. Just as water does not stain a lotus petal, so do defilements do not stain one's mind .
3744. After eliminating the five obscurations in the mind, this person will give rise to the mind of renunciation and will leave home. Then, while the flower palace is being maintained, this person will die .
3745. While this mindful man is dwelling at the base of a tree, there will be a palace made of flowers maintained at the crown of his head .
3746. After offering clothes, food, medicine, and seating to the Assembly of Bhikkhus, (this person) will Nirvana without gonorrhea or .”
3747. I left home by moving the pointed roof. The pointed roof house was maintained while (I) was living at the base of the tree.
3748. Reflection on clothes and food is not with me. Attached to meritorious karma, I receive completely.
3749. Many koṭi of my life, which cannot be measured by counting, have passed in vain, the World Leaders have all been liberated.
3750. (Formerly) one thousand eight hundred aeons, the Guide Piyadassī (appeared). After serving Him, I went to this incarnation.
3751. Here, I saw the Perfectly Enlightened One, the One with Eyes named Anoma. I went to see him and went forth into the family life.
3752. The Buddha, the End of Suffering, the Conqueror, explained to me the Path. After listening to His Dharma, I reached the state of Immovable.
3753. Having pleased the Fully Enlightened One Gotama, the Noble Sakya, after thoroughly knowing about all the contrabands, I live free of contraband.
3754. (Since) I have made offerings to the Buddha (before) one thousand eight hundred kalpas, I no longer know the suffering scene; this is the fruit of making offerings to the Buddha.
3755. My afflictions have been burned away, all existences have been erased, all taints have been eradicated, now there is no more rebirth.
3756. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the teachings of the Buddha in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3757. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.

3758. Not far from the Himalayas there is a mountain called Sobhita. My hermitage has been skillfully built, created by my students.
3759. There were many roofs and sinduvāraka trees in bloom. In that place, there were many forest apple trees and jīvajīvaka trees were in bloom.
3760. In that place, there were many nigguṇḍiya trees, apple trees, āmalaka trees, pharusaka trees , long gourds, and white lotus varieties.
3761. In that place, there were alaka trees, beluva trees, banana trees, and lemon trees. In that place, there were many mahānāma trees, ajjuṇa trees , and piyaṅguka trees .
3762. In that place, there were kosamba trees, salala trees, nīpa trees, nigrodha trees , and kapitthana trees . My retreat is like that. I and my students lived there.
3763. The World Honored One, Anomadassī, the Sovereign, the World Leader, while seeking peace, approached my hermitage.
3764. When the Great Hero Anomadassī of great fame drew near, suddenly a wind sickness arose upon the Protector of the World.
3765. I saw the World Leader while I was wandering in the forest. I have come close to the Perfectly Enlightened One, the One with the Right Eye of great fame.
3766. As soon as I saw (His) gesture, then I realized that: “ There is no doubt that an illness has arisen for our Buddha .”
3767. I immediately went to the hermitage, where my students were. Intending to make medicine to cure diseases, at that time I summoned the disciples.
3768. Obeying my words, students, all with respect, gathered in one place out of reverence for my Guru.
3769. After quickly climbing the mountain and bringing back all the medicines, I made a mixed water and I made an offering to the supreme Buddha.
3770. When the Great Hero, the All-Knowing, the World Leader had lived, the wind (sick) of the Great Hermit was quickly extinguished.
3771. After seeing that the discomfort had been alleviated, the great celebrity Anomadassī sat down in his seat and uttered these verses:
3772. “ Whoever has offered medicine to Me and has soothed My illness, I will praise him. People, listen to Me .
3773. This person will be happy in the world of gods for one hundred thousand kalpas. In that place, this person will always enjoy the instruments being played .
3774. After going to the human world, motivated by the element of purity, (this person) will become a Wheel-turning King a thousand times .
3775. In the fifty-fifth life, (this person) will be the king-slayer named Anoma, the conqueror of the four directions, the lord of the land of Jambu .
3776. As a Wheel-turning King who has attained seven kinds of treasures, has great power, (this person) will shake the whole Dao Loi heaven and will be established as a lord .
3777. Becoming a God or a human (human), (this person) will have less disease. After leaving the attachment (of the family), (this person) will overcome the disease (afflictions) in the world .
3778. Countless lifetimes later, a Master named Gotama from the Okkāka clan will appear in the world .
3779. As an heir to that (Buddha)'s Dharma, orthodox, created from the Dharma, (this person) will know comprehensively about all defilements and will Nirvana without contraband .
3780. Having burned through the afflictions, (this person) will overcome the currents of craving, and will become the Guru's Sravaka, whose name is Bakkula .
3781. Knowing all this, Gotama, the Noble Sakya, after sitting down in the Assembly of Bhikkhus, will establish (this person) in the supreme position .”
3782. The Blessed One, Anomadassī, the Sovereign, the World Leader, while considering solitude, approached my hermitage.
3783. When the Great Hero, the All-Knowing, the World Leader came near and gained his faith, I personally fulfilled His will with all kinds of medicines.
3784. Good work done by me this is the achievement of a fertile seed in Phuoc Dien, because since my work has been done well, I can never be wasted.
3785. It was for my good that I achieved well, that I saw the Leader. Thanks to the remnants of that karma, I have reached the state of Immovable.
3786. After knowing all this well, the Noble Sakya Gotama, having sat down in the Order of Bhikkhus, established me in the supreme position.
3787. Since I have done that work countless eons ago, I no longer know suffering; This is the fruit of medicine.
3788. My afflictions have been burned away, all existences have been erased, all taints have been eradicated, now there is no more rebirth.
3789. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3790. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.

397. Chronicles of the Elder Girimānanda
3791. My wife has passed away. My (deceased) son was taken to the cemetery. My mother, father, and brother are being burned in the same pyre.
3792. Burned by that melancholy, I became thin and yellow. Tormented by that melancholy, I had a mental disorder.
3793. Suffering from the arrow of sorrow, I went inside the forest. I eat the fruit that has fallen and dwell at the base of the tree.
3794. The All-Enlightened One named Sumedha, the End of Suffering, the Conqueror, intended to help me, He came near to my place.
3795. Hearing the footsteps of the Great Hermit Sumedha, I raised my head and looked up at the Great Sage.
3796. The Great Hero has come, happiness has arisen in me. After seeing that World Leader, then my mind was focused.
3797. After regaining mindfulness, I offered a handful of leaves. The Blessed One, the One with the Right Eye, sat down in that place out of compassion.
3798. After sitting down there, the World-Honored One, the World Leader Sumedha, preached the Dharma to dispel the arrows of sorrow for me, saying:
3799. “ Uninvited, from there they went. Unauthorized, from here they went. As they came, so they went; What's the complaint in that case?
3800. Just like the pedestrians in the pouring rain, by the pouring of the rain, they go to the place of goodness (to take shelter from the rain) .
3801. And when the rain stopped, they automatically left at will. Your mother and father are similar; What's the complaint in that case?
3802. Travelers are guests of a vibrating, moving, vibrating nature, so are your mother and father; What's the complaint in that case?
3803. Just as snakes cast off their old skin and go to (new) skin, so your mother and father left their bodies here .”
3804. Understanding the Buddha's words, I left the arrow of sorrow. Having aroused excitement, I paid homage to the supreme Buddha.
3805. After paying homage to the Dragon Statue, I offered a bouquet of giri flowers with heavenly fragrance to the World Leader Sumedha.
3806. After making offerings to the Perfectly Enlightened One, I clasped my hands at the head. In remembrance of the great virtues, I praised the World Leader saying:
3807. “ White Great Hero, All-Knowing One, World Leader, He overcame. White Great sage, He saves all sentient beings with wisdom .
3808. White Great Sage, You have cut off doubt as well as hesitation. White One, You have arranged the Path for me with Your wisdom.
3809. The Arahant has reached the achievement, has six winning positions, has great divine power, is the wisdom level with travel in the air immediately accompanied .
3810. There are the Disciples who are Students who are practicing and there are those who have attained Arahantship. His Sravakas bloom like a pink lotus at sunrise .
3811. The White One , like the ocean, is immeasurable, immeasurable, difficult to overcome, likewise, is full of wisdom He is immeasurable .”
3812. After paying homage to the Conqueror of the world, the One with the Right Eye of great fame, while bowing to all directions, I bowed and left.
3813. After my death from the world of gods, while circulating in this realm and other realms, I was born in the mother's womb, with awareness and mindfulness.
3814. After leaving home, I went forth into the family life. I have ardor, prudence, meditative attainment, and tranquility is the practice.
3815. After affirming my efforts, after having pleased the Great Sage, I often went here and there, as if the moon had been released from a dense cloud.
3816. I am attached to solitude, peace, no seeds of rebirth. After comprehensive knowledge of all contraband, I live free of contraband.
3817. (Since) I have made offerings to the Buddha (before) thirty thousand aeons, I no longer know the suffering scene; this is the fruit of making offerings to the Buddha.
3818. My afflictions have been burned away, all existences have been erased, all taints have been eradicated, now there is no more rebirth.
3819. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3820. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.

3821. When (the Buddha) Kakusandha, the perfect Brahmin had entered Nirvana, I took the salala wreath and had the canopy made.
3822. While going to the Dao Loi heaven, I attained the supreme palace, I surpassed other gods; this is the fruit of good karma.
3823. Whether day or night, while walking and standing still, I am covered by salala flowers ; this is the fruit of good karma.
3824. Even in this life (since) I have made offerings to the Buddha, I no longer know the suffering; this is the fruit of making offerings to the Buddha.
3825. My afflictions have been burned away, all existences have been erased, all taints have been eradicated, and I live free of taints.
3826. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.

399. Chronicles of the Elder Sabbadāyaka
3828. My dwelling place has been cleverly revealed near the sea, there is a well-formed lake, chirping by red geese.
3829. (The lake) is covered with mandalas, by green and red lotuses. And the river that flows through there has a lovely shallow wharf to please.
3830. (River) filled with fish and turtles, crowded with various birds, buzzed with peacocks and storks along with bats and starlings, etc..
3831. And here are the river-dwellers such as the pigeons, the wild geese, the red geese, the larks, the cuckoos, the pampakas , and the jīvaṃjīvakas.
3832. (The river) has swans, storks making noise, there are many owls and piṅgala species , full of seven kinds of treasures, with sand beaches with pearls and pearls.
3833. All the trees are made of gold, emitting various fragrances. They light up the dwelling day and night at all times.
3834. Sixty thousand musical instruments are played in the morning and evening. Sixteen thousand women are always around me.
3835. I have left my abode (going to see) the World Leader Sumedha. With pure faith, with joy in mind, I paid homage to that person of great fame.
3836. After paying homage to the Perfectly Enlightened One, I invited him to join the Congregation. That wisdom Sumedha World Leader accepted.
3837. After teaching me the Dharma, the Great Sage dismissed it. I paid homage to the Fully Enlightened One and went to my abode.
3838. I informed the entourage that: “ In the morning, the Buddha will go to (this) abode. All of you gather together .”
3839. (They replied): “ It is to our benefit that we live close to him, which has been well accomplished for us. We will also make offerings to the Guru, the supreme Buddha .”
3840. After arranging the food and drinks, I announced the time. The Ruler of the World has come with a hundred thousand able.
3841. I performed the reception with musical instruments having all five elements. The Supreme Being sat down in a chair made of gold.
3842. At that time, there was an umbrella made of gold at the top, there were fans in the interior of the Sangha of Bhikkhus.
3843. I have satisfied the Sangha of Bhikkhus with rice and water in abundance. I have offered to the Assembly of Bhikkhus a double sheaf of cloth each.
3844. The recipient of the world's offerings, which people call " Sumedha ," after sitting down in the Assembly of Bhikkhus, spoke this verse:
3845. “ Whoever has satisfied Me and all these with food and water, I will praise him. Please listen to Me.
3846. This person will rejoice in the world of the gods one thousand eight hundred kalpas, and will become a Wheel-turning King a thousand times .
3847. Wherever this person is born, be it a celestial being or a human being, there will be an umbrella made of gold to cover him at all times .
3848. In thirty thousand kalpas (later), a Master named Gotama, from the Okkāka clan will appear in the world .
3849. As an heir to that (Buddha)'s Dharma, being orthodox, created from the Dharma, (this person) will know comprehensively about all taints and will Nirvana without contraband .
3850. (This person) will sit down at the Assembly of Bhikkhu khưu and will roar the roar of the lion. Many people hold umbrellas at the pyre, and (this person) is burned under the umbrella .”
3851. The state of samana was reached by me, the afflictions were burned by me, at the roof or at the base of the tree, I did not know the heat.
3852. Since I have made alms before thirty thousand aeons, I no longer know the suffering; this is the fruit of giving everything.
3853. My afflictions have been burned away, all existences have been wiped out, all taints have been eradicated, I live free of taints.
3854. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3855. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
The Venerable Sabbadāyaka [15] spoke these verses thus.

400. Chronicles of Elder Ajita
3856. After going deep into the Himalayas, the Conqueror named Padumuttara, the master of all dharmas, the World Leader sat down.
3857. I have not seen the Perfectly Enlightened (before), nor have I heard rumors. At that time, I was wandering in the forest, looking for food for myself.
3858. In that place, I saw the Perfection of Enlightenment with thirty-two good generals. After seeing it, I had the thought: “ What is this person's name? ”
3859. After examining the appearances, I recalled my knowledge; Because of this I have heard the old wise people explain in detail.
3860. (I was thinking): “ According to their saying, this person will be the Buddha. Maybe I should respect it and my fate will be clear? ”
3861. I quickly returned to the hermitage and chose to take the oil of the madhu tree . I brought a jar with me and went to see the Taurus.
3862. I took the fork and set it up in the open air. I lit the lamp and bowed eight times.
3863. The Buddha, the Supreme Being, sat for seven days and nights. After that, the World Leader emerged from meditation at the end of the night.
3864. With a pure faith, with a joyful mind, I spent seven days and nights. Having gained faith, I personally offered the lamp to the Buddha.
3865. Then, by the power of the Buddha, all the forests made of perfume, imbued with the fragrance of the mountain, moved closer to the Conqueror.
3866. Herbs that grow on the ground of fragrant flowers are already in bloom. At that time, due to the power of the Buddha, all were gathered.
3867. As far as the dragons and the birds of the Himalayas, wishing to hear the Dhamma, both of them approached the Buddha.
3868. The recluse Devala's name is the leading sage of the Buddha, along with one hundred thousand capable people, went close to the Buddha.
3869. The One Who Knows the World Padumuttara, who received the offerings, after sitting down in the Assembly of Bhikkhus, uttered these verses:
3870. “ Whoever has faith, has offered a lamp to Me with his own hands, I will praise him. People, listen to Me .
3871. (He) will rejoice in the world of the gods sixty thousand kalpas, and will become a Wheel-turning King a thousand times .
(Sixteenth chant).
3872. (He) will be the Lord of the gods who will rule over the heavenly kingdom thirty-six times, and will rule over the vast earthly kingdom seven hundred times. The kingdom's territory was vast, incalculable .
3873. Due to the offering of this lamp, (the person) will have the Celestial Eye. This person will always see a distance of eight kosa [16] around .
3874. While (this person) is dying from the world of gods and is going to be reborn, there will be a lamp that will be maintained during the day and at night (for this person) .
3875. When people have good karma being born, the city (in the place of birth) is as wide as it gets, it will be shining there .
3876. Where (this person) goes to be reborn, being the essence of God or humanity, it is because of the eight precious fruits of the lamp of this lamp offering that no one will surpass this person; this is the fruit of the offering of the lamp .
3877. In one hundred thousand kalpas (later), a Master named Gotama from the Okkāka clan will appear in the world .
3878. As an heir to that (Buddha)'s Dharma, being orthodox, created from the Dharma, (this person) will know comprehensively about all contraband and will Nirvana no longer contraband or .
3879. Having pleased the Fully Enlightened Gotama, the Noble Sakya, (this person) will become the Guru's Sravaka, whose name is Ajita ."
3880. I was happy in the world of the gods sixty thousand kalpas. In that place, I also have a hundred lamps that shine at all times.
3881. My lights radiate whether in the world of gods or humans. After remembrance of the supreme Buddha, I was aroused with great joy.
3882. After my death from the heaven of Dau Tat, I was born in my mother's womb. While I was being born, there was full light.
3883. After leaving home, I ordained into the family life. I went to see the Bavari and became (his) student. [17]
3884. While living in the Himalayas, I heard about the Leader of the World. While searching for my ultimate goal, I went to see the Scout.
3885. The Buddha is the one who has been trained, the one who helps (others) to train, the one who has overcome the flood, no longer has the germ of rebirth. The Buddha preached about Nirvana, the freedom from all suffering.
3886. My going there was successful because the Great Sage was pleased. I have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the teachings of the Buddha.
3887. (Since) I have offered the lamp one hundred thousand kalpas ago, I no longer know the suffering; this is the fruit of the offering of the lamp.
3888. My afflictions have been burned away, all existences have been wiped out, all taints have been eradicated, I live free of lusts.
3889. Indeed, I have succeeded perfectly, have accomplished the three wisdoms, have practiced the Buddha's teachings in the present time of the supreme Buddha.
3890. Four (wisdom) analysis, eight liberations, and six winning positions have been (I) attained; I have been practicing the teachings of the Buddha.
The Venerable Ajita said these verses like that.
